[Zen Cart] URL's changed - Please help
we recently updated our zen cart database with new model numbers, therefore it changed the destination URL for our products.
so like this:
this keyword: 63840 washer
on google we come up #1, but when you click the link, it goes to the old link and then craps out with a custom error page here: http://midwestapplianceparts.com/index. ... ts_id=2906
googles result link shows like this: midwestapplianceparts.com/washing-machine-39/kenmore-washer-parts-75/...washer.../kenmore-washer-lint-filter-2906.html
this is the new page real result: http://midwestapplianceparts.com/washin ... -3583.html
basically the last 4 numbers of each URL have changed.
so multiple questions:
1. will google eventually find the new URLS? I have resubmitted the sitemap, but it hasn't helped. I am unsure if they will fix it if the page is still found and not a dirty 404 error.
2. I checked with SEO forum and they say to use 301 redirects: http://forums.seochat.com/google-optimi ... post632369
but how am I supposed to know all the links that changed and googles old link and our new link,.... we have over 3000 products
3. we need to fix asap and I don't know what to do, the client is freaking out... any suggestions?

Yes, new URLs will be found, Sitemaps may speed-up this process.

If you deleted old products so the IDs have changed, the only way is to add manual redirection for all your old products (there is no way how to guess new location).
