[Zen Cart] More Than 3 Category Levels
I am reporting that category levels more than 3 doesn't work. The url changes but it doesn't display the content just a 404 error page. It looks like it's misforming the url. Do I need to empty the fancy-data cache on every new updates? See the error below"

Re: More Than 3 Category Levels
Another issue, I noticed in the .htaccess that when category level is set to 5, subcategory 5 is not generated in the .htaccess file. This new code is also included the .htaccess (and this hasn't been in the previous releases)
Is it possible I have a bad build?
Thanks!
Code: Select all
#Working around additional parameter - this one can not be unset in some cases by Core
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^(.*)&buy=now
RewriteRule ^index.php$ index.php?%1 [L,R=301]

Thanks!

Re: More Than 3 Category Levels
I have temporarily reverted back to version 1.0.16 until I can see a site where more than 3 category levels works. The .htaccess that is generated doesn't support 5 categories and upgrading to 1.1 simply messes things up once the category is more than 3.

No, it is not possible - there was only one difference in what was pre-configured (we discussed before).
You didn't re-generate .htaccess file (please make sure you temporary delete readonly-htaccess file to do this - otherwise .htaccess file will not be generated).

Re: More Than 3 Category Levels
Actually, that's not true, it regenerated .htaccess. I emailed you the .htaccess file generated if that will help you. As you will see it doesn't create 5 category level .htaccess.
Do you have a test site or any store where 4/5 category level is working or a .htaccess of what a store with 4/5 category level should look like?
Also, is it required to empty the fancy-data cache folder on new installation?
Thanks!

As I emailed to you previously, .htaccess file you have send me includes RewriteRules with category nesting level 5 (it was misunderstanding what means subcategory4).

No, it isn't.
Re: [Zen Cart] More Than 3 Category Levels
I just reviewed your .htaccess file again and it looks like there are some slashes doubled. Please re-download update and upload new magic_seo_url.php file (some data corruption probably occurred during processing the update).

Thanks for the prompt support and the new update. That fixed the problem and links are now working as expected.

I'm having problems with the new version as well. Where does one 're-download the update'?
