[Zen Cart] .htaccess file won't create

installation was correct.
I can load the mainpage of mysite, but any other link give code error 404.
The file .htacces is empty.

Please make sure .htaccess file is writable by PHP scripts and enabled/ordered URL matches the installation URL.

I have installed : Zencart 1.3.8 , Apache 2.0.52 , Php 5.01, mod_rewrite and .htaccess works fine in my Joomla site, also installed Zendengine 2.1.0 with Zend Optimzer 3.3 and Ioncube phploader 3.1.3
.htaccess is rewritable (i have used 777 and 666)

Webshop works fine when ik delete the insert include(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'magic_seo_url.php'); in application_top.php
I have upload the file www in a subdirectory.
