[Zen Cart] .htaccess file will not generate

I have version 6 installed on a development server for a client. Installation went smoothly, no issues or errors. Files all uploaded in binary.

Yet the htaccess file will not generate. Permissions are set to 666. I load the home page and it does not change. Still 666 and empty.

Troubleshooting did not offer any suggestions. The site is schifferbooks DOT igiserver DOT com

Have you renamed/remove the file named "readonly-htaccess" file?

This is no file by that name in the public_html folder.

Please make sure the MSU is activated (it currently shows it has not been re-activated yet: schifferbooks.igiserver.com/?inveoActivation)

I activated it yesterday. I just re-activated it, got redirected back to the site home page. In checking the htaccess file, still blank, still 666 and no readonly-htacces file. So I returned to schifferbooks.igiserver.com/?inveoActivation and it shows as not active again.

We've inspected the situation. The schifferbooks.igiserver.com is currently linked with SN issued for 5.x while you use MSU 6.x files. Please open-up schifferbooks.igiserver.com/?inveoActivation and click "I am upgrading to a new series" and enter your new SN. It should resolve the problem.
