[Zen Cart] .htacces automatically re-generated?

Hi Guys! ,)

I got a problem, hope you can help me:

I tried to add a rule for a 404-page in the .htacces file.
Now it seems that the file changes itself everytime i add this rule. :-S

The redirection works extactly 1 time, then the file is re-written without my rule and the "not found" screen shows instead of my 404-page....

When i upload the changed .htacces again, my 404-page appears , again just 1 time.....

Any idea how to fix this?

You can protect your changes in .htaccess file by a) setting chmod 666 to the .htaccess file or b) creating a file named "readonly-htaccess" within same directory.

I set CHMOD to 666 and it works fine!
