[PrestaShop] What happens if URL is changed

Hi,
what happens when I rename a PrestaShop url from http://www.wine.com/red-merlot.php into http://www.wine.com/rose-merlot.php ?
Will I get 2 url's ?
Will I get a 404 for initial url ?
Will I get a 301, permanently moved, automatically inserted via htaccess so that I do not lose "link juice" ? [ meaning a on-domain 301 ]

Thanks for clarification. I am oscillating between some solutions for a Presta 1.4.8

If you change the URLs of product/category/document with MSU installed then all previous links will redirect to the new location using HTTP 301 Moved Permanently (no changes to .htaccess file are required).
