[osCommerce] Wordpress blog integration htaccess issue

We are trying to integrate Wordpress in Zen Cart. Blog available on this link http://www.babyvegas.com.au/index.php?main_page=blog/

I setup short links to open blog under this link http://www.babyvegas.com.au/bvblog/
But the changes to the .htaccess file were deleted each time by MSU.

How can we add a custom row to the htaccess that won't be overwritten by MSU?

Any help would be hugely appreciated

You can protect your .htaccess file content by changing .htaccess file permissions to read only and/or by creating file named "readonly-htaccess" within the same directory.
