[osCommerce] PHP Upgrade and Zend

Postby garyw74 » Wed Mar 14, 2012 7:53 am

Hi Support

It seems we are running a copy of Magic SEO URLs that is not compatible with the latest version of Zend.

The Zend Support team advices I contact you to get a copy re-encoded so it does work with the latest PHP upgrade.

Can you advice please

Thanks

You did not post Magic SEO URLs/PHP/ZO/ZGL version. If you mean PHP 5.3 compatibility, this branch is supported by Magic SEO URLs 3.x Series and later.

I am not to sure what version we are using it was purchased quite a few years ago. But upgrading to PHP 5.3 and the latest zend gives the errors I am sure you are aware of and the site doesnt load.

Can you advise if over the years the format of the re-writes has changed as if it has, upgrading would ultimately do our ranking damage

Thanks

Ok, I have checked your current demo of Oscommerce and I can see the format has slightly changed so I am going to need a copy of the version I am using just re-encoded rather than the upgrade version.

Your product names are re-written as
/oscommerce/matrox-g200-mms-1

The version i am running keeps the category in so all my products are
/oscommerce/category name/matrox-g200-mms-1

I am happy to pay the upgrade fee if you can do this for me please.

Your current SEO URLs format can be kept. Just the default behavior has changed (you will need to set uri_mode to "normal" in includes/msu_tweak.ini file).
You can also go with new default settings and all your old URls will be redirected.
