[osCommerce] Adding session id first time into store.

Postby buskerdoo » Thu Sep 03, 2009 9:20 am

It appears that the first time someone comes into the store they are getting bad session id added to the url. I can only reproduce it if I totally clear the cache on my browser, etc.

I've noticed a big increase in the 404 error pages in analytics.

Examples of pages showing up:

Notice sometimes it's using a ? and other uses %.

This was already discussed a couple of days ago in [osCommerce] MSU adding weird Session ID number one time thread with you and the problem is in your buggy osCommerce modifications.

That's not exactly very helpful: "buggy osCommerce modifications" ?? I didn't have weird ses id's before? Is there a way to get rid of these or strip them off?

I started a new three because I thought all was working but now we have enough analytics data to see there is still a problem.

Helpful directions are in the linked thread...

You have had Session IDs in the past like you do now. You can turn it off completely in osCommerce admin panel (however it does not fix your buggy MODs).
