Re: 404 problem I can not access /catalog/categories in admin
This has nothing to do with Magic SEO URL. It will be likely caused by your customized .htaccess file or by missing file (MSU leaves administration untouched - is initialized only in catalog).

Re: Change from current seo mod
if i was to change to your seo re-write mod for cre-loaded from a "free" one would all the currently indexed and bookmarked links work? Yes, it will still work - by placing old Rewrite Rules to the end of newly generated .htaccess file, your old URLs will be redirected (HTTP 301 Moved Per...

Re: More Than 3 Category Levels
It is technical limitation of mod_rewrite (higher variables than $9 are unavailable). Currently we have working proof-of-concept with unlimited category depth, Rewrite Rules were shortcut to only three lines :!: but there is still lot of work to keep all known Features working and we also want to in...

Re: [osCommerce] My shop is part of a larger portal
There is big difference. DirectoryIndex directive shows content of /catalog/Z under /, but RewriteRule directive makes redirection from / to /catalog/. (FYI: root htaccess also contains the "Options -Indexes +FollowSymLinks" directive... should it come before or after your directives?) It ...

Re: [osCommerce] My shop is part of a larger portal
The point is that my “main page” (let’s say “Z”, which is also in /catalog) is a page that has nothing to do with the normal osCommerce one (/catalog/index.php) …and some of the directives in the MSU “.htaccess” have been built on this Z page. So far, it sounds absolutely logical and I could check ...

Re: [Zen Cart] Page not found when navigating to ssl page
Great! Btw Sessions are handled by MSU - by uninstalling SID Redirect add-on you are not loosing any feature (quoting from Feature page): Sessions IDs (zenid parameter in URLs) are removed when one of 120 worldwide webcrawlers is detected. Also, if the webcrawler finds backward link with Session ID,...

Re: Page not found when navigating to ssl page
It is caused by missing mod_rewrite in Apache under HTTPS. mod_rewrite needs to be installed on both HTTP and HTTPS web servers. Please ask your web host to do so. Temporal solution is to open includes/configure.php and change following line: define('ENABLE_SSL', 'true'); To: define('ENABLE_SSL', 'f...

Re: My shop is part of a larger portal
I have built the site upon the osCommerce framework, but the "Shop" itself will be one tag amongst others, much more like in a portal: "Business" - "Shop" - "Club". It is no more than a graphical trick, for everything is built on osCommerce, session is kept, ...
