What will happen if I edit the .htaccess and add:
ErrorDocument 404 home/liberty/public/404.shtml
or
ErrorDocument 404 home/liberty/public/page_not_found.php

Will your program re-write and remove my additions?

I need to upgrade my PHP version to 5 to run another application in a sub domain on my GoDaddy account.
