I've installed Magic SEO, but it doesn't work, my pages still have the same long and ugly url.

What I've concluded is that even when I make the htaccess file "666", Magic SEO does not write anything new to it.

My .htaccess file has the code "AddHandler php5-script .php" in order for it to function as php5, but that's it. I tried to change it from 644 to 666 via my ftp, didn't work, so I logged into my cpanel and changed it that way, but still Magic SEO didn't touch the htaccess file.

My url is: http://consciousink.com/new/
The .htaccess file is in the main html root for http://consciousink.com/

Any thoughts?

The reason why it is not working is that no Magic SEO URL copy has been purchased for http://consciousink.com/
