I'm interested in purchasing the Magic SEO URL for OsCommerce, it seems the best add-on available at the moment. I would like to know first if it's possible to have URLs in the form of:

http: // www . domain . com / category-name-15 / subcategory-name-23 / product-name-81.html

to a more simple one, such as:

http: // www . domain . com /category-name / subcategory-name / product-name.html


That would be perfectly what I'm looking for.
(spaces added to avoid url transformation above)

My question is medium to high importance, with a tendency to the high. I think no conflicts should appear, since the odds of having the exact same product name in the same category name are rather slim.

Is there any advantage in terms of page ranking if there are no numbers in the url for the category, sub-category and product?

I don't think so, it only looks better. However, the default MSU 2.0 configuration of products URIs does not include categories so such links looks pretty tiny (this thread has been started year ago).
