After completing the installation steps, the browse to the location of my oscommerce install. Once I do, I seem to get stuck in some kind of infinite redirect until I receive "Error 500 - Internal server error". I assume the server is timing out. When I comment out the installation line in application_top.php everything reverts back to normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It looks like a buggy PHP version is installed on your web server. I recommend you to update to latest PHP4 or even better switch to PHP5.

That brings me to another problem, I'm trying to update to php 5 using the following in my .htaccess file.

AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php

That works fine, however when I try to install Magic SEO URL's it overwrites my .htaccess and reverts me back to php 4.4. Is there a way to force Magic SEO to append to the .htaccess file instead of overwriting it?

Once MSU installation is completed, you can add anything you want to this file.

Thanks for the responses, I still seem to be stuck in this infinite redirect. I have updated to php5 and the .htaccess file seem to have written properly (though I wouldn't really know). When I navigate to the store I still get a too many redirects error or the server times out.

There are likely some server's vars not correctly set. I will need your FTP login details in order to find out what exactly is going wrong.

1. At the time of purchase your web site has been configured to http://ubreakifix.com and not http://www.ubreakifix.com so I have uploaded re-compiled MSU for http://www.ubreakifix.com (using MSU which does not match HTTP HOST only affects URLs in HTML source which are not transformed).
   I know you have specified http://www.ubreakifix.com in your order, but we check this manually since most of our customers do not know that http://ubreakifix.com and http://www.ubreakifix.com is not the same.
   
2. Infinite redirect is caused by some Javascript code that all traffic redirects to http://ubreakifix.com

Thanks for the help. I reconfigured the site shortly after I purchased MSE, didn't realize it would affect anything.

I don't recall having js code that redirects all traffic to http://ubreakifix.com. When I visit http://www.ubreakifix.com I don't seem to be redirected to http://ubreakifix.com. Can you point me in the right direction?

It does for me as well. The issue is now that some JS code redirects http://www.ubreakifix.com/ to http://www.ubreakifix.com/index.php
