osCommerce 2.2ms2-060817 Register Globals Off Workaround

Please help with a few problems in OS Commerce

1. I do not have the following folder:
install/includes/application.php to make changes as instructed on the page:
http://www.magic-seo-url.com/oscommerce ... s-off.html

2. In Oscommerce I get the following error when trying to access the file manager:
Fatal error: Call to a member function read() on a non-object in /virtual/topping/public_html/osc/admin/file_manager.php on line 179

3. I am not able to add images to the products:
Catalog images directory does not exist: /osc/images/
